Harvey (elbow) may not appear in a game until spring training due to Jeremy Hefner's recent major setback in his return from Tommy John surgery, ESPNNewYork.com reports. The Mets have tried to scale back Harvey's return and this announcement by GM Sandy Alderson is further indication that the team will be very cautious with Harvey. There was some speculation that Harvey could pitch in the fall league, but that looks to be a very remote possibility now.
