Morton labored through five innings in Sunday's loss to San Diego, allowing five hits and five earned runs while walking one and striking out five. Morton cruised through the first three innings before running into trouble in the top of the fourth. The wheels then came off in the fifth inning, as Morton gave up three hits and four runs, with Seth Smith's bases-clearing triple doing the damage. Morton, who's now 5-11 with a 3.62 ERA on the year, will next take the hill Friday in Washington.
