Gonzalez (left knee tendinitis) is headed for the 15-day DL, Thomas Harding of MLB.com reports. The Rockies had been content to let Gonzalez play through the issue until his tendinitis flared up again Friday night. He was reportedly available Saturday though he did not end up making an appearance, and manager Walt Weiss said the team is not considering shutting Gonzalez down for the season at this point. However, it could still be an option for the last-place Rockies, should the problems linger into September.
