Puig is out of the lineup Sunday against the Brewers, Ken Gurnick of MLB.com reports. Puig has had a rough go of it at the plate so far this month, notching just seven hits in 32 at-bats, so manager Don Mattingly will go ahead and give the 23-year-old a day to sit back and observe. Andre Ethier is starting in center field with Carl Crawford batting second. A hamstring injury cost Puig a start back on Aug. 2, but he's looked spry in the field in recent days.
