Nationals manager Matt Williams hopes to have Werth (shoulder, ankle) back in the lineup Saturday, Mark Zuckerman of CSNwashington.com reports. Werth has been dealing with a sore right shoulder in recent days and Williams said the 35-year-old's ankle is still presenting issues as well. "He's pretty banged up," Williams added, but it seems the skipper is cautiously optimistic Werth will be able to make it back for Saturday's tilt. Steve Souza is starting in right field Friday.
