Johnson will certainly have to prove his worth at Triple-A Toledo, after posting a hideous 7.14 ERA, 2.058 WHIP, and 28:23 K:BB in 40.1 innings with the Athletics prior to his release Friday. However, Detroit's bullpen boasts the third-worst ERA (4.53) in all of MLB in 2014, which could result in a late-inning role by the time rosters expand in September.
