Angel Pagan (back) could begin a rehab assignment on Thursday if his full workout on Wednesday goes well. It's not clear how many rehab games he'll need, but Pagan has progressed well over the past week. He should be ready to rejoin the Giants' outfield in early August if he can avoid a setback. The veteran outfielder has been on the shelf since mid-June with a back injury.
