Sean McAdam of CSNNE.com reports that the Red Sox are unlikely to trade closer Koji Uehara. The Red Sox are reportedly considering trading the likes of Jon Lester and Andrew Miller, but they apparently intend to make a qualifying offer to Uehara, who is an impending free agent. Because the qualifying offer will likely be in the area of one-year, $15 million this offseason, the thought is that he will accept. Of course, the Red Sox could trade Uehara and still re-sign him as a free agent, but there's the chance they would have to guarantee multiple years in order to do so.
