Carlos Beltran played catch Monday as the Yankees plan to ease him back into outfield duty. Beltran has been limited to the designated hitter spot since early June due to a bone spur in his right elbow. "He played catch yesterday. I think he'll probably play two days in a row and then take a day off," manager Joe Girardi said. "We're trying to get him out there." Beltran has been heating up a bit at the plate with three multi-hit games in his last five tries and a pair of homers over his last nine contests.
