Hisashi Iwakuma just missed out on a shutout Saturday, allowing two runs over 8 2/3 innings in a win over the A's. Brandon Moss homered with two outs in the ninth to knock Iwakuma out of the game, denying him not only his first shutout, but actually his first career complete game. After struggling at the end of June, Iwakuma has allowed just three runs over 21 2/3 innings in winning his first three starts of July. He's struck out 25 and walked none during that span. Overall, he has an 80/8 K/BB ratio in 96 2/3 innings.
