Orioles optioned RHP Miguel Gonzalez to Triple-A Norfolk. Gonzalez had an option remaining, and will make a start in the minor leagues over the All-Star break so that he doesn't have an extra-long layoff. Through the season's first half he sports a 4.04 ERA, 1.45 WHIP and 69/32 K/BB ratio over 89 innings.
