After starting off with six hitless innings, Matt Garza took a loss Thursday against the Phillies, surrendering two runs in 7 2/3 innings. Those two runs scored after he was pulled in the eighth, and the Phillies went on to have a seven-run inning against Will Smith and Brandon Kintzler. Garza lost the no-hitter when Jimmy Rollins delivered the first of two singles in the seventh. He allowed three hits in all.
