Adam Wainwright shut out the Pirates for seven innings, striking out five, on Monday night. Charlie Morton matched him, so there was no win for Wainwright tonight. He's been awesome of late, allowing a total of two runs over 37 2/3 innings in his last five starts. Tonight's gem allowed him to overtake Johnny Cueto for the game's best ERA at 1.89.
