Chris Sale struck out 12 batters and held the Mariners to just one run in a complete game victory on Friday night. Sale's chance at a shutout died with a Corey Hart sacrifice fly in the top of the ninth inning, though some poor defense from Dayan Viciedo in left field opened the door. The southpaw gave up six hits and didn't walk a batter. It was his second complete game of the season and his seventh on the year. He's now second in the AL behind Felix Hernandez with a 2.16 ERA.
