Addison Reed allowed two inherited runs to score and gave up a walk-off single in Tuesday's loss to the Pirates. Reed entered in a tough spot, coming in with two runners on and nobody out, but he didn't do much to inspire confidence, either. After getting an out on a long fly ball from Josh Harrison, Starling Marte hit a two-run double off the center field wall to tie the game. After an intentional walk to Andrew McCutchen, Ike Davis hit the game-winning single, saddling Reed with his fourth loss of the year. Reed now has a 4.15 ERA and 1.21 WHIP, and his job security, while still safe, slips a little more with each blown save.
