Francisco Liriano (oblique) is scheduled to throw a simulated game on Wednesday. Liriano felt good after a 52-pitch bullpen session on Sunday and is now ready for the next step. The left-hander has been out since June 11 with a strained oblique muscle. He might not require a rehab start.
