Joe Mauer went 3-for-5 with two doubles and three RBI against the Angels on Thursday. The first double just missed being a homer, but since it also just missed being an out, as it went off Mike Trout's glove, he can't really complain. It was the second double in the ninth that drove in all of the runs. Mauer is 12-for-29 with nine RBI in his last seven games. He doesn't have a homer in that span, but he's twice had very close calls.
