Kyle Farnsworth has elected free agency. Farnsworth was outrighted off the Astros' 40-man roster on Thursday morning to clear a spot for Jose Veras and has now rejected an assignment to Triple-A. The 38-year-old had a 6.17 ERA in 11 2/3 innings with Houston but should be able to find a minor league contract.
