Edinson Volquez pitched eight innings and allowed just one run to beat the Rays on Monday. It's the first time since his 2012 shutout of Houston and the second time since 2010 that Volquez has completed eight innings in a start. He did so even though he struck out just one batter. The performance lowered his ERA from 4.67 to 4.35. He's still only an option in NL-only leagues and not a great one in those.
