Carlos Quentin is out of Friday's lineup against the Dodgers due to left knee soreness. Quentin has had all sorts of knee issues in recent years and began the season on the DL with an injury to the very same knee, so the Padres won't take any chances. The 31-year-old is hitting just .091 (4-for-44) this month.
