Rafael Furcal went 0-for-4 in Thursday's loss to the Mets. Furcal's struggles at the plate continue, as he has logged only five hits (all singles) in 31 plate appearances since making his season debut on June 13. The 36-year-old had been out of the majors since August 2012, so the rust is not exactly shocking, the Marlins are hoping the veteran can improve on his .172/.226/.172 slash line.
