Max Scherzer was hit early and often in Tuesday's loss to the Royals, allowing 10 runs on 10 hits in four innings of work. The right-hander allowed two home runs in a seven-run second inning en route to the most runs Scherzer has allowed in a start in his career. The loss dropped him to 8-3, and his ERA rose from 3.05 to 3.84 in the start. Still, it was nothing more than a speed bump for the 29-year-old. Look for him to rebound at the Indians on Sunday.
