Brandon Guyer (thumb) will work out with Triple-A Durham Friday and if all goes well begin a rehab assignment there on Saturday. Guyer would be used in the designated hitter spot Saturday before playing the outfield Sunday. The outfielder isn't even three weeks removed from a fractured thumb but appears close to rejoining the Rays.
