Diamondbacks optioned RHP Trevor Cahill to High-A Visalia. Cahill was removed from the Diamondbacks' 40-man roster last week via optional waivers. The 26-year-old will get a fresh start in the California League and try to work his way back up to the Arizona rotation. He had a 5.66 ERA in 41 1/3 innings this season with the D'Backs.
