Mariners placed OF Michael Saunders on the 15-day disabled list with a right shoulder injury. Saunders has been battling shoulder soreness off and on for about a week, and the M's will now give him an extended period of rest. He'll be aiming to return when first eligible near the end of June. Seattle is expected to call up a replacement Friday, though there isn't an obvious choice for that promotion at Triple-A Tacoma. The Mariners are already loaded up with mediocre outfielders.
