Anibal Sanchez defeated the Red Sox in his return to the Tigers rotation on Sunday, allowing just two runs (one earned) on five hits over five innings of work. Sanchez walked three and struck out three on the evening. He had been sidelined with a blister issue since April 26, but showed very little rust in his return to the hill. The victory was his first on the season, bringing him to 1-2 to go along with a stellar 2.89 ERA, 1.21 WHIP and 27/14 K/BB ratio over his first 28 innings. He'll look to keep things rolling when he takes on the Rangers on Friday.
