Travis Wood worked around some early control problems to pick up his fourth win of the season, allowing two runs in seven innings against the Brewers on Sunday. Wood walked the bases loaded with two outs in the first inning, but escaped without allowing a run. Rickie Weeks put the Brewers on the board with a two-run home run in the fifth, but otherwise, Wood was sharp. The lefty allowed just two hits and the three walks while striking out seven. It was a nice change as Wood had been shaky in his previous two starts. Wood will have a very nice match-up in his next start, facing the Padres at Petco Park.
