Justin Verlander survived a rough fifth inning to win his fifth game Wednesday, allowing five runs over six frames in a 7-5 victory over the Orioles. Verlander was cruising along until the fifth inning, when the O's rallied for five two-out runs punctuated by a Nelson Cruz three-run blast. That cut the Tigers' lead to one at the time, but the Orioles never got any closer. Though he already has five wins, Verlander hasn't quite been himself yet with a 3.15 ERA, 1.33 WHIP and just 47 strikeouts over 60 innings. He'll get the Indians and Rangers next week.
