Jim Johnson threw 1 2/3 scoreless innings against the Red Sox on Sunday, earning the victory in the Athletics' 3-2 win. Johnson entered a tie game with a runner on first in the ninth inning and promptly induced a double play. After the A's gave him the lead in the top of the 10th, Johnson got another double play to finish the game and secure the win. He still hasn't earned a save since being removed from the closer role, but it's clear that he's regained the favor of A's manager Bob Melvin with his strong pitching of late.
