Nick Markakis went 2-for-5 with a solo home run as the Orioles defeated the Pirates in 10 innings on Thursday. Markakis took Pirates reliever Bryan Morris out to right field for his second home run of the season. He had homered in the first half of Thursday's double-header as well. The power display was nice to see as he entered the day with a .360 slugging percentage, but it's now up to .417.
