Kenley Jansen converted his 11th save of the season, allowing one run in an inning of work as the Dodgers defeated the Twins 4-3 in 12 innings on Thursday. It was not a pretty outing for Jansen, though he was dealing with an inconsistent strike zone. He reached 93 MPH only once and wound up loading the bases on a single and two walks with no outs. Joe Mauer knocked in one run with a sacrifice fly to left field, but Jansen was able to get Trevor Plouffe to fly out and Chris Colabello to line out to first base to seal the victory. Jansen has pitched on back-to-back days, but otherwise hadn't pitched since April 26, so his lower velocity should raise some eyebrows.
