Matt Garza pitched well against his former club on Friday, allowing just two runs on four hits over seven strong innings in a victory over the Cubs. Garza fanned seven on the evening while walking just one. It's the first victory of the season for the veteran right-hander who now sports a 4.09 ERA, 1.18 WHIP and 26/8 K/BB ratio in his first 33 innings. He'll look to carry over the momentum to his next outing, when he does battle against the Cardinals in St. Louis on Wednesday.
