A.J. Griffin will receive a second opinion on his ailing right elbow from Dr. Thomas L. Mehlhoff on Tuesday. Griffin resumed throwing recently but is still feeling pain. He was diagnosed last month with a flexor tendinitis, but the injury is sometimes a precursor to Tommy John surgery. Obviously, it's an ominous sign, but more will be known next week after Griffin is examined.
