Carlos Gomez will appeal his suspension from MLB. Gomez was suspended for three games and fined an undisclosed amount by MLB for his role in Sunday's brawl, but he'll be able to play until his appeal is heard.

I'm just confused why he would appeal now, instead of take the suspension during the Cubs (7-14) series. Is he hoping to miss the Arizona (7-18) games? That's a gamble, considering the schedule around that one.

this is great news for now, but the "out" icon shouldn't be displayed next to his name in people's lineups because he's not out yet...

I think it is horrible that Snider only got 2 games for this while Gomez got 3....If you leave the bench, you should serve at least five games. Every professional sport in the US has a strict policy about this action. I would imagine had Snider not ran out onto the field, there would not have been the scuffle that took place nor would he be sportin the shiner he has.

lol...good point. I couldn't tell from the video I saw what had started the second commotion.

What an ass. You started this sh*t and then charged in AGAIN after it was calming down and you think you should appeal? Wow! Try some anger management classes douche.
