Mike Napoli left Tuesday's game against the White Sox after appearing to dislocate his left ring finger on a slide into second base. Napoli advanced to second on wild pitch, sliding in head-first but coming up with his finger pointing in the wrong direction. If it's just a dislocation, it's possible he can avoid the disabled list. If it's a fracture, a DL stint will obviously be required. Mike Carp would figure to take over at first base while Napoli is sidelined.
