The Twins announced Friday that they'll place Josh Willingham on the disabled list on Saturday with a left wrist injury. Reliever Michael Tonkin will be recalled to take his spot on the active roster. The move doesn't come as a surprise as the veteran outfielder has been slow to progress since he exited Sunday's game after taking a pitch off of the wrist. He will undergo an MRI on Saturday to determine the severity of the injury since he's still experiencing irritation.
