Pedro Alvarez homered twice, but it wasn't enough as the Pirates lost to the Cubs on Wednesday. Alvarez finished 2-for-4 on the night. His first blast game in the fifth inning off of Jason Hammel, and the second was off of Pedro Strop in the ninth. Alvarez is up to four home runs and is coming off of a 36-homer season.
