Giants general manager Brian Sabean said in a radio interview Tuesday that the team has tabled extension talks with Pablo Sandoval. The two sides are at an impasse and it's not clear whether they will resume talks at some point later this season. FOX Sports' Jon Morosi reported Monday that Sandoval is looking for at least a five-year deal, and the Giants aren't willing to give him that. It's hard to blame San Fran given Sandoval's inconsistent production and waistline. The third baseman is making $8.25 million this season in his final year before free agency.
