Omar Infante (elbow) remained at the Royals' spring training complex in Arizona rather than travel with the team for their weekend exhibition games in Milwaukee. As Andy McCullough of the Kansas City Star notes, the news is "not too encouraging" for Infante's chances at being ready for Opening Day. Infante has played in minor league games the last few days but has admitted that his elbow still isn't 100 percent. Yet, manager Ned Yost had previously been bullish on the second baseman's odds of being available for the opener. The Royals should provide an update on Infante's status later Friday.
