Brad Hand took his first loss of the spring after giving up five runs in four innings Saturday against the Mets. Travis d'Arnaud and Wilmer Flores homered off him, plating all five of the runs. Hand had been strong this spring, with a 0.75 ERA in 13 innings. Still, with Tom Koehler also pitching well, Hand appeared to be no higher than sixth on the SP depth chart. He should have a roster spot anyway, since he's out of options and would be claimed on waivers. A trade can't be completely ruled out.
