Alex Speier of WEEI.com reports that the Red Sox expect to have a resolution in contract negotiations with Jon Lester prior to Opening Day. Speier also notes that the club expects to have a resolution with the David Ortiz talks, as well, though the general feeling there is that something gets done. Both Lester and Ortiz are currently slated to become free agents after the season, but Lester's case is obviously more complicated since he'll require a big long-term commitment. The left-hander has indicated that he's willing to take less money in order to remain in Boston.
