Rockies purchased the contract of C Michael McKenry. McKenry and Jordan Pacheco are still competing for a bench spot, but this transaction bodes well for the former's odds. The 28-year-old McKenry has some pop and will be an NL-only backup option if he's named Wilin Rosario's backup.
