Max Scherzer surrendered five runs and seven hits in 5 2/3 innings Thursday versus the Nationals. Scherzer's ERA jumped even though he ended the game with eight strikeouts and no walks allowed. He's still having a nice spring with a 3-2 record, a 4.05 ERA and a 24/1 K/BB ratio in 20 innings.
