Reds manager Bryan Price said Mat Latos (knee) is "very close to game-ready." Latos threw curveballs and sliders in a bullpen session on Tuesday and is soon slated for a live batting practice session. If he completes that without issue, Cincinnati will start thinking about penciling his name into an exhibition game. Price said over the weekend that Latos isn't an option for Opening Day but could be ready for a start on April 6.
