Rays avoided arbitration with OF Matt Joyce by agreeing to a one-year, $3.7 million contract. Joyce was eligible for arbitration for the second time this offseason. He's coming off a disappointing year where he batted just .235/.328/.419 for the Rays. Joyce is slated to be the club's primary DH in 2014.
