MLB.com's Steve Gilbert reports that the Diamondbacks are close to acquiring White Sox closer Addison Reed. Matt Davidson, a promising third base prospect, is reportedly headed to Chicago. Reed saved 40 games in 2013 for the White Sox while posting a 3.79 ERA, 1.11 WHIP and 72/23 K/BB ratio in 71 1/3 frames. The 24-year-old righty should do well in the ninth inning for Arizona and will maintain considerable fantasy value on a good D'Backs team.
