USA Today's Bob Nightengale reports that the Yankees "have had lots of internal discussions" about Joaquin Benoit. Nightengale says the Yanks "would love to grab two relievers," and Benoit appears to be at or near the top of their list. It's unclear whether they'd allow him to compete with David Robertson for the closing job or if they'd view him more in a setup role. Benoit put up a 2.01 ERA, 1.03 WHIP and 73/22 K/BB ratio in 67 innings of work for the Tigers in 2013.
