Rosenthal notes that they have long been intrigued by Bourjos, but that they would want him as a backup "who could protect them against injury and provide above-average defense." The problem is that the Angels want young starting pitching in return, which the Phillies don't have. Rosenthal thinks they'll have to involve a third team in order to make a trade work.
