Mike Berardino of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports that the Padres are also in the hunt for free agent right-hander Ricky Nolasco. The Padres could have a built in advantage in attempting to ink Nolasco, as the 30-year-old hurler grew up in Southern California. The Twins, Phillies and Dodgers are believed to be competing for his services as well, and Nolasco's agent claims his client has multiple four-year offers already on the table.
