According to CBS Sports' Jon Heyman, the Tigers have been telling teams that they're open to trading either Rick Porcello or Max Scherzer this offseason. Scherzer is the 2013 Cy Young Award favorite in the American League and will likely draw much more interest, but Porcello would come far cheaper in a trade and is under contractual control for one year longer. Porcello posted a decent 4.32 ERA, 1.28 WHIP and 142/42 K/BB ratio in 177 innings this past summer for Detroit. He'll be a free agent after the 2015 season. Scherzer is set to become a free agent next winter.
